Summer Lovin'

We've been lucky enough to have a sneak peak of the summer in Brighton over the last week or so with some glorious weather.  Everyone has been flocking to the beach and our new Little Beach Boutique has had plenty of visitors.  To try and capture the essence of Brighton beach our jewellers Felicity and Laura have been busying themselves with a new collection of handmade silver charms that will be on sale in our seafront store.  The charms, which can be added to our silver chain bracelets in a pick'n'mix style, include a seagull, a sailing boat, a beach hut, a bucket and spade, and of course, a ice cream cone!  We'll put some pictures up very soon and you can pick your favourite!

We're gearing ourselves up for another busy bank holiday weekend and looking forward to the busy hum of day trippers and visitors.  Fingers crossed the sun is out for the Royal Wedding on Friday - we're all looking forward to that first sneak peak of Kate's frock, and even more so to the potential for street parties: busy Brighton streets decked out in bunting and balloons; merry-making and all round revelry - glass of Pimm's anyone?!

We're Going Up In The World!

Posh Totty are excited to announce that we are now being looked after by the brilliant Monsta PR company under the watchful eye of Charlotte Hickson.  We'll be alongside high profile names such as the lovely Dermot O'Leary, hair stylist to the stars Johnnie Sapong, Select model David Gandy, high profile favourite Ducie (whose elegant and romantic designs have been featured in none other than Vogue magazine- http://www.vogue.co.uk/news/daily/2008-01/080114-i-love-ducie.aspx - and are worn by the likes of Sienna Miller and Cat Deeley), and, of course, our favourite local  Brighton restaurant Fishy Fishy!

We can't wait to see where this will take us, but we're sure glad to be along for the ride!

We're thrilled to announce that commercial and editorial Stylist and all-round fashionista Sara Darling has hit the big time and is moving up to the Big Smoke!  Sara worked with us providing her style expertise and styling customers for Posh Totty and was a huge part of what we do, so it's no surprise to hear that she's in such high demand.  Sara's work is a cutting edge mix of high fashion and popular culture with clients ranging from Anglomania and Helena Christensen to The Arctic Monkeys and Ellie Goulding and all sorts in between.

The Letter Press

Congratulations to Felicity and Lou on their first collection for The Letter Press now showing in the Little Beach Boutique! We'll post some pictures of the collection (think cloisonné thimble and mustard spoon necklaces and Victorian letter press rings and brooches) really soon, so watch this space!

We're really excited this week about Dark Horses, a Brighton band who are playing this Thursday April 21st at The Green Door Store.  Lisa, the singer, also works in our shop so we're all going along to support her, and it's free so why not come along and support a great local band?

Moon Walk 2011 and more...

We like to do our bit for charity here at Posh Totty, and this year Alice is thrilled to be taking part in the London Moon Walk 2011 on Saturday May 14th.  This year the theme is 'Walk on the Wild Side' so Alice is working on ideas for customising the bright pink bra they send out to everyone - it definitely takes confidence to power walk the 26.2 miles in undies so we're all thrilled she's doing it for such a good cause! We want to say a big 'congratulations' to all those who took part in the Brighton marathon last Sunday, it was a gloriously sunny day, and there was a huge turn out of supportive family and friends for all the runners - what a healthy bunch!
