Summer Lovin'

We've been lucky enough to have a sneak peak of the summer in Brighton over the last week or so with some glorious weather.  Everyone has been flocking to the beach and our new Little Beach Boutique has had plenty of visitors.  To try and capture the essence of Brighton beach our jewellers Felicity and Laura have been busying themselves with a new collection of handmade silver charms that will be on sale in our seafront store.  The charms, which can be added to our silver chain bracelets in a pick'n'mix style, include a seagull, a sailing boat, a beach hut, a bucket and spade, and of course, a ice cream cone!  We'll put some pictures up very soon and you can pick your favourite!

We're gearing ourselves up for another busy bank holiday weekend and looking forward to the busy hum of day trippers and visitors.  Fingers crossed the sun is out for the Royal Wedding on Friday - we're all looking forward to that first sneak peak of Kate's frock, and even more so to the potential for street parties: busy Brighton streets decked out in bunting and balloons; merry-making and all round revelry - glass of Pimm's anyone?!

We're Going Up In The World!

Posh Totty are excited to announce that we are now being looked after by the brilliant Monsta PR company under the watchful eye of Charlotte Hickson.  We'll be alongside high profile names such as the lovely Dermot O'Leary, hair stylist to the stars Johnnie Sapong, Select model David Gandy, high profile favourite Ducie (whose elegant and romantic designs have been featured in none other than Vogue magazine- - and are worn by the likes of Sienna Miller and Cat Deeley), and, of course, our favourite local  Brighton restaurant Fishy Fishy!

We can't wait to see where this will take us, but we're sure glad to be along for the ride!

Don't Stop Me Now!

Massive congratulations to Alice who walked a very impressive 20 miles in preparation for the Moon Walk 2011!  To try and help her along we've been trying to think of cheerful summery songs to encourage those strides and alleviate temporary blister agony!  So here we go Alice, today it's 'Villagers' with 'The Pact (I'll Be Your Fever)':

A gentle little number for those early summer morning strolls - keep up the good work!

Good Luck Sara Darling!

We're thrilled to announce that commercial and editorial Stylist and all-round fashionista Sara Darling has hit the big time and is moving up to the Big Smoke!  Sara worked with us providing her style expertise and styling customers for Posh Totty and was a huge part of what we do, so it's no surprise to hear that she's in such high demand.  Sara's work is a cutting edge mix of high fashion and popular culture with clients ranging from Anglomania and Helena Christensen to The Arctic Monkeys and Ellie Goulding and all sorts in between.

Have a look at her online catalogue here:
Or follow her hectic social calendar on twitter:!/disorderfashion

Sara has also work with the lovely Eliza Doolittle whose catchy pop songs are the perfect soundtrack to your summer, and the Brighton-based band The Mummers who specialise in a unique blend of baroque pop and electronica.  The band who have recently released their 6 track EP 'Mink Hollow Road', are currently on tour so visit their website for dates and information and support this local talented troupe!  You can watch a dreamy live performance of 'Wonderland' on 'Later With Jools Holland' here:

The Letter Press

Congratulations to Felicity and Lou on their first collection for The Letter Press now showing in the Little Beach Boutique! We'll post some pictures of the collection (think cloisonné thimble and mustard spoon necklaces and Victorian letter press rings and brooches) really soon, so watch this space!

Dark Horses

We're really excited this week about Dark Horses, a Brighton band who are playing this Thursday April 21st at The Green Door Store.  Lisa, the singer, also works in our shop so we're all going along to support her, and it's free so why not come along and support a great local band?

'Fresh from tour guests of choice with Black Rebel Motorcycle Club and Kasabian, Dark Horses gather for their first show of the year, a multi-media special at Brighton's The Green Door Store innovative TRIIAL clubnight.  Showcasing SPELLS from their forthcoming Death In Vegas produced debut record, whilst screening a specially commissioned film 'Invert Your Eyes'. Expect a sensual evening of soul sonic force and uplifting darkness,'

Have a look at their video for single 'Alone' at

'The first single will be anxious anthem 'ALONE'.  Already a firm favourite amongst fans, its pulsating, electronic psychedelia -guided by the hot and cold vocal of the siren herself - will fill dance floors as it will hearts.'

The first single will be anxious anthem 'ALONE.' Already a firm favourite amongst fans, its pulsating, electronic psychedelia -guided by the haunting hot and cold vocal of the siren herself - will fill dance floors as it will hearts. Conversely, the b-side 'Rose Unconscious' is a darker, sister to set opener 'Rose'.

Moon Walk 2011 and more...

We like to do our bit for charity here at Posh Totty, and this year Alice is thrilled to be taking part in the London Moon Walk 2011 on Saturday May 14th.  This year the theme is 'Walk on the Wild Side' so Alice is working on ideas for customising the bright pink bra they send out to everyone - it definitely takes confidence to power walk the 26.2 miles in undies so we're all thrilled she's doing it for such a good cause! Have a look at this link and see if there's anything you can do to support them:

We'll give you regular updates on how the training is going here, and maybe even a picture or two on the night!  Watch this space...  If you want to support Alice and her group and donate to this worthy cause you can log on to:

The target is £5000 and so far we're up to £1588.10, so a huge thanks to everyone who has donated so far!

We want to say a big 'congratulations' to all those who took part in the Brighton marathon last Sunday, it was a gloriously sunny day, and there was a huge turn out of supportive family and friends for all the runners - what a healthy bunch!

In other news, it's nearly opening time for our new Brighton Little Beach Boutique!  The final touches are being done over the next week or so to make sure it's spot on for our grand opening at the end of April, so if you're a local, come on down and have a look, we've got something for everyone, from our beautiful handmade Posh Totty sterling silver jewellery, to co-owner Suzanne's vibrant glass designs and all sorts in between.  Have  look at Suzanne's colourful designs here:

We're currently finalising new designs to go in the Not On The High Street Occasions Gift Guide which will be out in May, so our jewellers Felicity and Laura have been working hard on our new Wax Seal cufflinks and keyring designs and our beautiful Silver Christening Spoons:

They're also including our sterling Silver Key Necklace and Secret Message necklace which we're really excited about:

Have a look on our Not On the High Street page for these and loads more!
